ESTÜ Music Group

ESTÜ Music Group

The ESTÜ Music Group was founded in March 2021 by the Student Dean’s Office - Student Activities Unit, with an open call to all students.

The group was established to enhance student motivation, provide opportunities for musical activities, and organize future concert programs. Participation requests were evaluated based on students' musical background, knowledge of notation, instruments, and vocal skills. The selection was conducted by a committee of expert musicians, including choral conductor Gülsevin Doğanay, violinist Yılmaz Lekesizgöz, cellist Enes Karaköse, flutist İlayda Bayram, and guitarist Çavgın Çınkıt, resulting in the selection of 29 students.

The group held its first official meeting on June 3, 2021, and continued working under an institutional framework. To strengthen its identity, six different logo designs were created by the Institutional Communication Coordination Office, and the group members selected their own official logo.

During the summer term, rehearsals were conducted online, and with the 2021-2022 academic year, in-person practices began. The group actively participates in various events and welcomes new members through auditions held at the beginning of each academic year.
